The way your bathroom is set up can really give an elegant feel to any bathroom. The bathroom sink area is usually given extra attention because of the amount of time spent there. This is especially true if you are a guest, don't you check out the sink area as you wash your hands? There are many unique bathroom sink styles to choose from that help create any feel you are looking for. There is the bowl sink style that actually sits above the counter; this gives a very modern feel to a bathroom. Then you have your traditional inset sink that is the same level as the countertop, this is the most common sink style. Another one that is great is the free standing sink. This style has no counters surrounding it, nor does it have cabinets underneath. This kind is particularly nice if you have guests that are in a wheel chair. This is a space saving style as well, and great for small bathrooms.
Bathroom Sink Types
There is such a variety of bathroom sink types to choose from. Ceramic sinks used to be very popular and they were great because they weren't porous and didn't retain smells. This was especially useful in the kitchen. One thing that is bad about ceramic though, dishes break very easily, there is no give with this material. Another option would be to use a metal sink, it gives a little, so you won't break your drinking glass, but it isn't esthetically pleasing. A sink type that is a bit pricier, but very pretty is the corian sinks. These are sinks that are molded into the counter top and give a flawless transition between the sink and counter.
