(Like at the corners) The slab style of granite countertops is the highest quality and gives the best finished product. This type is specifically measured to fit into your kitchen, and is usually best to be cut and installed by a professional.

Installation of granite countertops

The installation of granite countertops isn't a very intricate process, but the steps much be followed precisely or you won't have a stable product. When you decide to decide that you want to redo your countertop you need to allow for at least 2-3 days of mess before the finished product will be complete. The old countertops must first be removed. Then support beams of either wood or metal will need to be secured to the top of the cabinets. Granite is a very heavy material and you want to make sure it isn't going to jeopardize the stability of the cabinets underneath.
